Orders | Tracking | Shipping

How do you ship?

For Shipping, our products are perishable and are sent with gel packs or dry ice via overnight or 2nd Day by the best carrier of our choice. Ground delivery is available for orders within a 2-day delivery zone. Non-perishable items are sent via ground, 2-7 business days.

Can you ship to a P.O. Box?

Shipping to a P.O. Box is not available. Please verify your correct shipping address. Any special instructions can be added to the comment section upon checkout. Once your order ships, we have no control over what occurs to your order during transit, therefore, making sure your shipping address and delivery details are correct is highly important.

How do you keep meat frozen during transit?

Each order will be shipped in an insulated cooler, packed with dry ice. This ensures your order arrives fresh, cold, and safe. Our items are shipped frozen, ensuring they arrive at a safe temperature. It is possible that a portion of your order may not arrive completely frozen, especially when the weather is very warm. We suggest transferring the contents of your order to a refrigerator or freezer immediately upon receipt and at a minimum on the day of delivery.

Though we go to great measures to ensure it is not, if any of your order is warm to the touch, we suggest discarding that portion and emailing us at: support@sundancetx.com for further assistance.

Unfortunately, food safety rules and regulations will not allow us to reuse the shipping coolers. Shipping coolers can be reused, re-purposed for many projects, donated to a local food pantry or shelter.

** To dispose of dry ice, place it in a well-ventilated area at room temperature; the remainder of the ice will sublimate away. Never dispose of dry ice in a trash can, chemical waste container or other garbage/waste can. *

What to do if my Beef Share has defrosted?

Your meat is shipped out frozen with either dry ice, ice packs or a combination thereof depending on your shipping location. In warmer conditions your order may arrive partially thawed. Meat below 40 degrees is safe to consume and can be refrozen or thawed completely for consumption. If your order arrives in 4 or more days and is over 40 degrees please contact us at support@sundancetx.com.

About Your Beef | Nutrition

Is frozen beef just as good as store bought beef?

Our beef has up to 2 times more nutrients than your store bought beef. What’s good about freezing your beef is that it actually tenderizes it. This is due to the expansion of the moisture within the cell walls when they freeze. When thawed, these muscle fibers are more tender.

Can I get a sample of a beef share?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer samples to any Customer. As a company, there are logistical constraints that make it impractical for us to offer samples of our beef shares. We would like to assure you that we are committed to providing the highest quality beef and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Do you use vaccinations or antibiotics?

Here at Sundance Farm & Ranch, our regeneratively raised beef is 100% grass-fed and finished. Our cattle are free to graze on non-GMO pasture, outside in the sunshine as nature intended, every single day. They never eat grain or grain by-products, and are never treated with antibiotics or hormones.

Regenerative Agriculture

What is Regenerative Agriculture?

Regenerative agriculture revolves around the belief that agriculture can only be truly sustainable when we work with the land, instead of viewing nature as a limitless resource we can constantly take advantage of.

Regenerative farmers have turned away from industrial agricultural methods and instead have opted for practices that:

  • Rebuild and grow new, healthy topsoil
  • Encourage soil and plant biodiversity
  • Reject chemical inputs and their associated pollution
  • Reduce runoff, which protects natural waterways
  • Rebalances ecosystems and protects beneficial insects, including pollinators like bees

Some of the more common regenerative agriculture methods include cover crops, crop rotation, and no-till planting methods.

How does Regeneratively raised beef combat climate change?

Through photosynthesis, healthy grassland ecosystems remove carbon from the atmosphere and store in the soil (where it belongs!). In order to maximize the carbon sequestering capacity of these thriving grasslands, the symbiotic presence of grazing animals is required. As a result, when managed in nature’s images, ruminant animals have the ability to enrich a system that reverses climate change.
